Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 - Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a quiet community located on the West Island, which is an island in Montreal. A lot of people who aren't aware of the name mistakenly believe that they are on the West Island extends westward from Montreal. However the West Island includes everything westward of Lachine. Lachine. There is an argument that it was the birthplace of Amanda Brugel but while that is the case, her stay there was not long. Brugel lived in Courtice close to Oshawa Ontario. Early ambitions were to be an actor, however she simply outgrew her dancers. In an article published in the Toronto Star she admitted In heels I'm 6'1 inch. When I grew out of male companions, I quit. Many former dancers turn into acting and Brugel was not an exception. An instructor in drama at her high school pushed Brugel in her direction that she required. The teacher suggested that she go after a role in the school's annual production. After trying out the role, she was chosen as the lead of Anne of Green Gables. It led to a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theatre Program and earned A Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. For the last two decades, Brugel's career has seen her perform in more than 60 TV and film productions. Her most famous role was as Rita (shown here) on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor to appear in the season 1 and was only seen in a few episodes.
